A material is a string of SVG and nothing else. Write the definitions, watch it land on artwork it has never seen, and mint it. From then on any collection can bind it, and every token they mint while wearing it pays you.
Coat needs a paint called pm-p. Both modes use a filter called pm-f
if you want one. No script, no external URL, no font: those will not render in a wallet.
The registry is permissionless and its create fee is zero, so this costs gas alone and nobody can stop you. That cuts both ways: your material's strings are public the moment it exists, and anyone can read them and mint a copy. What separates an original is provenance and whether collections choose to bind it.
